On the technical side, the rumoured Nokia Normandy packs Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC, a rather mediocre 5MP camera unit, 4-inch FWVGA (480×854 resolution) display and runs Android 4.4.1 KitKat. Also according to the AnTuTu benchmark page and the about phone page, the Nokia Normandy sports the ‘Nokia A110' model number.

There are no leaks to confirm it, but tech experts believe that with Normandy, Nokia might introduce a new branch of Android. Something similar to what Amazon does with its Kindle Fire series.

It is yet-to-be-seen if Nokia can release its rumoured Android phone ahead of the completion of the Microsoft deal. Especially considering that after signing the pact, Nokia can neither license the 'Nokia' brand for use in connection with mobile device sales nor use the brand on its own mobile devices for a specific period.

Prior to this, Nokia's alleged Normandy was leaked in a render showing the device in various colour variants.
