After months of rumors about The Nokia Lumia Icon smartphone, but finally Nokia launched Lumia Icon smartphone with 5-inch display and 2.2 GHz Snapdragon 800 in the US.
Nokia Lumia Icon comes with 5-inch 1080p OLED display at 441 ppi runs on Windows Phone 8 OS. It is powered by 2.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and 2GB of RAM.It has 32GB of on-board storage(no microSD support).
Nokia Lumia Icon has 20-megapixel PureView camera of Carl Zeiss lens along with dual-LED flash and Optical Image Stabilization. it has ability to record 1080p video video at 30 frames per second.It has 1.2-megapixel which has ability to record HD video.
The new Nokia Lumia Icon sports four microphones, compared with the one or two typically found in smartphones. The two on the front are activated when making phone calls, while the two on the rear are used when taking video - to better capture sound coming from the subjects.
The Nokia Lumia Icon has dimensions of 137 x 71 x 9.8mm and weighs 167g.Nokia Lumia Icon comes with common sensors including Ambient Light Sensor, Accelerometer Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Magnetometer and Gyroscope Sensor.On connectivity front it supporting 4G LTE, WiFi, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0 and Qi wireless charging and packs in a a 2420mAH battery.
The Lumia Icon will be available starting Feb. 20 through Verizon Wireless for $200 with a two-year service contract, or $550 without.
