Nokia has planned to launch an 8-inch tablet in the first quarter of 2014.

To follow up on the just-launched 10-inch Lumia 2520, Nokia will release this 8-inch tablet under the Lumia 2020 name.

As per the speculations, this will be among the high-end Windows RT 8.1 devices. The device is likely to feature a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor along with 2GB of RAM.

With this tablet, Nokia will target the mid-to-high-end sector of the tablet market.

Meanwhile, other tablet makers are also gearing up for the tough competition ahead. Electronic major LG has also announced G Pad 8.3 tablet in the UK market which is likely to be priced around 259.99 pound.

On the other hand, Sony has launched Xperia Tablet Z in 2013 and it may launch more tablets in 2014 targeting high-end tablet market.
